

MEET JOEY
NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Joey Carr, a graduate of Bryant High School, has been a resident of Mississippi County since 1993. He earned his B.S.E. from the University of Central Arkansas (1993) and his M.S.E. from Arkansas State University (2011). He was employed at the Armorel School District as a high school teacher & coach for 17 years and as elementary principal for 13 years. Joey has served on the Arkansas Association of Elementary School Principals Board, a subgroup of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators, from 2016-2023. Joey & Deanna retired in July 2023, after 30 years.
Joey was elected to the 94th General Assembly in November 2022 and 2024. He has served on the Public Transportation Committee and the Aging, Youth & Veteran's Affairs Committee during both terms.

Joey is a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville, where he is a Deacon and has served as assistant Sunday School Teacher. He and his wife, Deanna, have four children, Madison & husband Clinton Haley, McKinley, Monroe & wife McKenzie and Mayson & husband Cooper Gauntt. They have been blessed with two granddaughters, Eliza & Ellison Haley.
